Collaborative research, teaching and learning for 21st century energy systems

The Industry 4.0 UQ Energy TestLab has been established to help enable the widespread adoption of digital Industry 4.0 technologies into the production and processing of Australia’s energy and resources.

The University of Queensland is one of six Australian universities selected for the National Industry 4.0 TestLab initiative.

The Industry 4.0 UQ Energy TestLab has been established at UQ with funding from Commonwealth of Australia and the University of Queensland. Siemens has provided equipment and software. The Commonwealth of Australia and Siemens are foundation partners of The Industry 4.0 UQ Energy TestLab.

Introducing UQ's Industry 4.0 TestLab

The TestLab will enhance global knowledge on electricity networks by focusing on power system analytics, energy management and microgrids, has been officially launched at UQ.
